Demystifying Area and Oriental Rug Cleaning
If you have ever had a rug cleaned by us at Langenwalter Carpet Cleaning, you know that it is a little bit like magic. We take a dirty, matted rug that seems to be past its better days and breathe new life into it, returning it to a beauty that had been hidden by years of wear and tear. For those of you who have wondered just exactly how we achieve such amazing rug cleaning results, this post is for you.
Careful Inspection. When you bring your area rug or Oriental rug in for cleaning, it first receives a thorough inspection. Before we do anything to your rug, a trained technician meticulously examines it for imperfections such as color bleeding or fading, tears, holes, abrasions, and pet contamination. By taking time to fully assess the situation, we are able to adequately address any issues as well as prevent further damage.
Powerful Dirt Removal. While the first step in our process involves slow, calm, methodical inspection, the second step is anything but calm and quiet! In fact, for this part of the process we call in the RugBadger, which uses the power of intense vibration to shake loose any dirt and sediment, including dust, allergens, and hair, that may be lurking in your rug. You would be amazed at how much soil, sand, salt, and even small rocks we can dislodge with the RugBadger. Like its name implies, it goes after all the deposits living in your rug and doesn’t quit until they have all been sent packing like a bad tenant. A thorough vacuuming ensures that all particles are removed.
Customized Cleaning. Once all the fragments of dirt have been removed from the rug, the actual cleaning can begin. At Langenwalter, we take area rug cleaning and Oriental rug cleaning very seriously because we know these items are valuable to you. Therefore, we evaluate the rug and its fibers, taking into account its fringes as well, and then choose our methods based on what is best for your particular rug. We steam clean area rugs and Oriental rugs one at a time with the same level of care that we bring to each task. Once the cleaning is done, all excess moisture is extracted and a rinse is applied to return the rug fibers to their natural state.
Detailed Attention. Our professional rug cleaning is now almost complete, but there is still a need for our careful attention. We have a climate-controlled drying facility where we dry each rug completely. Then we conduct a final inspection to ensure that each rug has been handled according to our high quality standards. Finally, we roll up the rug and place it in a protective covering while it awaits your pick-up.
There you have a high-level behind-the-scenes look at our professional rug cleaning process. As you read through these steps, it’s easy to see why Langenwalter is able to do area rug cleaning and Oriental rug cleaning so well.
