Employee Spotlight – Sally Bartrom
It’s time to shine the spotlight on one of our wonderful employees again. Meet Sally Bartrom, our very own Technician Logistic Coordinator and Customer Relations Specialist. Now try saying that five times fast! Continue reading to get to learn more about Sally and everything she does for Langenwalter.
Even though Bartrom’s official title is Technician Logistic Coordinator and Customer Relations Specialist, she’s a bit of a jack of all trades in the office. Bartrom said, “Some of my responsibilities include planning the schedule for the technicians, helping with invoicing and any type of paperwork regarding payments. I also help the technicians out here and there and go over their estimates. I also get to work with the insurance companies and communicate with them. On the other side, I am also 100 percent focused on customer service. That’s the number one priority. But I really do a little bit of everything, wear a lot of hats, which is nice because then I can help out in a bunch of different areas.”
So what’s an average day like for Bartrom? It’s just as busy as you think it is. Bartrom said, “While we do stick to a schedule, no two days are exactly the same. I talk to a lot of different people throughout the day. I’m constantly answering the phone and talking to customers. I also make sure our technicians are getting where they need to be.”
But Bartrom’s work is definitely rewarding. Bartrom said, “The work environment is great. My coworkers and the owners are awesome. We have a really good team of people. We are serious about our work, but we also know how to have fun. I think that’s why we all get along so well.”
Since Bartrom’s other job responsibilities include customer relations, she does get some interesting customer questions. Bartrom said, “A lot of the questions that I receive are about pricing, which is normal, but then I get a lot about specialty stain removal as well. Most customers are calling about pet stain removal. One time some of our technicians were called out to Klipsch Music Center. Apparently Marilyn Manson’s cat had an accident on his tour bus and he needed us to clean it for him! Who knew Marilyn Manson was a cat person?”
But what makes Bartrom’s job at Langenwalter so rewarding are the relationships she builds with clients. Bartrom said, “We have gotten to know so many of our customers over the years. We know their families really well. We know their job history and which technicians they prefer to work with. I love that we have such a close bond with our customers. It really makes everyone feel like a family. I think that’s why our customers love to work with us. We also have the best technicians who care about what they do and are proud of their work.”
